Devil’s Brigade (Black Devils) coming to Phog soon.

The logo of the Devil’s Brigade (Black Devils) as a vinyl sticker in our window. The Devil’s Brigade (officially the 1st Special Service Force), was an elite, joint World War II American-Canadian commando unit organized in 1942 and trained at Fort William Henry Harrison near Helena, Montana in the United States. The brigade fought in the Aleutian Islands, Italy, and southern France before being disbanded in December 1944. The namesake film premiered at The Capitol theatre decades ago, and it plays again tonight for the remaining Brigade members, dignitaries, politicians, veterans, and those paying tribute are on-hand once again, for four days of remembrance in the city. The street in front of Phog is closed and adorned with military vehicles and a red carpet display. It’s been amazing to have some of the vets into our spot. They like the decals in the window.
