This guy is 50 years old today. He has made a bigger impact on the cultural scene than I’ll ever hope to make, through food, music, and mirth. I am a relative newcomer, and even I miss him since he moved. Kevin Buckridan has wrangled a party in George’s honour tonight at Phog. Open Mic Surgery turns a spotlight on this guy, who has made indelible marks on the local “scene”, but who was instrumental in making Phog Phests 1, 2, 3 and 4 successes. Can’t wait for tonight.
