Trumpet and Flugelhorn player is a veteran of the Vancouver and Toronto Jazz music scene. He has developed a remarkable understanding and sensitivity to the creative process of jazz music interpretation and improvisation and is well versed in a multitude of styles. He plays in selective ensembles; everything from Blues and R & B, to Modern Jazz, New Orleans Jazz , and Big Band Jazz. Norm Quinn leads Q5 – his own Modern Jazz Quintet. His true passion and gift is taking both standard and original jazz compositions and turning them into a remarkable listening experience.

Educated through Douglas College and then privately in Toronto with the trumpet Guru Don Johnson and Jazz great Freddie Stone, Norm Quinn’s journey is ongoing. New projects include a new CD in the works with his Quintet Q5 and upcoming performances with Q5, Fat Boogie, Soul Demons, Razzmajazz and the Bob Liley Jazz Quintet.
